Sustainable Growth, Healthy Environment! September 12, 2020

September 17, 2020

It is a false choice to say that we have to choose between a healthy economy and a healthy environment! We CAN achieve sustainable economic growth that will not drain the very resources that we depend upon for industry and tourism! To this end, I hope that you will tune in to our virtual town hall meeting this Monday, September 14, on economic recovery, growth and development in the Greenwood area during the pandemic. Joining me in this live panel discussion are Greenwood Mayor Brandon Smith, Greenwood Association of Realtors President Ann Gunby, Main & Maxwell Gallery owner Laura Bachinski, and Anointed Hands Driving School owner Danny Webb. From 7:00-8:00 PM, we will live stream this event on my Waldrep Works Campaign Facebook page, no registration or Zoom link required! You can click here to view the discussion.

Thank you to W. Townes Jones IV for sponsoring this series! If you are interested in becoming a sponsor as well, email me at waldrepworks@gmail.com.

Our first virtual town hall meeting has been viewed over 900 times and was a great discussion on community policing practices in Greenwood! Click here to view the discussion.

I am happy to announce that the Sierra Club has endorsed my candidacy!

"We are pleased to announce today that the Sierra Club officially endorses Ms. Waldrep for election," said Ben Mack, SC Chapter Chair. "We are confident that Denise will work to protect South Carolina families’ health, air and water, and build a clean energy economy that works for South Carolinians."

I will work as your representative to maintain the healthy ecosystems that we need to stay healthy and prosper!

Our featured Waldrep Workers are the Good Trouble Gang: Carole Mauldin, Jill Koczwara, Margaret Anderson, and Paula Taylor. Their good deed is to faithfully "mask up"! Send me a picture of yourself helping others or working to protect the environment so we can share it! Click here to order your Waldrep Works t-shirt!

Thank you so much for your support of our campaign! You are my inspiration! Our yard signs and door hangers are arriving next week. In less than a month we will begin absentee voting in person! It's time to kick into high gear, ya'll!

NOW is the time to call the Greenwood County Voter Registration & Election Office to request your absentee voter registration application: 864-942-8585. Or, you can download your own absentee ballot application by clicking here.  Print it, fill it out and mail it ASAP! Requests for absentee voting applications are already happening in record numbers!

Click here to register online to vote in SC.

A donation of any amount will help us get the word out the Waldrep is ready to go to work for YOU!

Gratefully,
Denise
